Erin'in Mutfağı

This is the kitchen from supermodel Erin O'Connor's 200 year old South London home. She owns a beautiful AGA cooker, a Smeg fridge, and reclaimed kitchen units that used to belong inside the laboratory of a Victorian girls school on her street. I quite like this cozy kitchen, aside from that lamp with tassels. The marble countertops look great and the cute wallpaper printed with teacups works here.

Süpermodel Erin O'Connor'ın Güney Londra'daki 200 yıllık evinin mutfağındayız. Siyah bir AGA fırını, Smeg buzdolabı ve oturduğu caddedeki eski bir Viktorya dönemi kız okulunun laboratuvarından kurtarılmış mutfak dolapları var. Yalnızca püsküllü lamba gözüme battı. Mermer tezgahlar çok güzel görünüyor, çay fincanı desenli duvarkağıdı da bu sıcak mutfağa gitmiş.

Pink London

Pembe Londra

I have an uncontrollable urge to go to London, again. Uncontrollable by me, but very controllable by the UK Border Agency. I feel like if they knew how much I loved that country, they would welcome me with open arms :( I hate (the requirement of) visas.

Edit: Maybe not the best time to be in London. I have been following the news and twitter, I hope the good people of London are, and will be, alright.

Yine Londra'ya gitmek için içimde kontrol edilmesi mümkün olmayan bir dürtü var. Benim için kontrol edilemez, ama UK Border Agency pek güzel kontrol ediyor. Şunlara olan sevgimi ve merakımı bilseler kollarını açar, gel bize seni bağrımıza basalım derlerdi.

If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know how crazy I am about London, and how much I adore Liberty. The furniture design floor, the building itself, the clothes, the shoe lounge, the knick knacks, the prints, the art. You have probably heard that Liberty collaborated with Merci, a beautiful concept store in Paris which also blew my mind when I visited. Oddly enough, the moment I entered Merci, my first tought was "this place is Liberty of Paris". It's very stylish with its ex-factory building, books, amazing selection of stylish homewares and clothes, both new and vintage. You can see some pictures of Merci here and here.

The picture above pretty much sums up what I would buy from this collection. The suitcase, the notebook, the bracelets. J'adore.

Mobilya katı, binanın kendisi, kıyafetler, ayakkabı salonu, ıvır zıvırlar, Liberty desenleri, tablolar. Londra'nın Liberty'sinin, Paris'in konsept mağazası Merci ile yürüttüğü işbirliğini duydunuz mu? Merci eski bir fabrikadan uyarlama güzel binası, ferah iç mekanı, girişteki şirin arabası, kitapları, kalp çarptıran Isabel Marant kıyafetleri, iyi seçilmiş ev ürünleriyle vintage ile yeni ürünlerin muhteşem bir uyum içerisinde birlikte satıldığı Paris'te yer alan son zamanların en gözde dükkanı. London; I'm Coming, Love

Savul Londra, Ben Geliyorum

Hooray! I'm super excited because if all goes well I'm flying to London-the most inspirational city ever- tomorrow morning! With all the dark places my mind had been wandering lately, I can say I really needed this break. I'll be there for 6 days, so I'll see you next week! Last time I visited it was for business, and although I had the privilege of my British collegue taking me to all the awesome design shops, I had too little time and was so overwhelmed by all the amazing things that I never got to take photos or make notes of the places I went to. Also I was dumb enough to miscalculate the currency and thought everything was double the actual price. Hopefully this time it will be different and I will be back with some blogging material. To my luck Design*Sponge just posted an amazing London guide! I already have lists of the main gigs and the well-known stores but if you have any additional suggestions of shops/interesting places/great cheap food, do share tonight:)

Yaşasın! Heyecandan kıpır kıpırım çünkü bir aksilik çıkmazsa yarın Londra'ya uçuyorum! Son zamanlarda zihnim karanlık yerlerde fazla oyalanmaktaydı, doğrusu ilhama, ufuğumun açılmasına, biraz da havalanmaya çok ihtiyacım vardı. 6 gün orada olacağım, yani sizlerle haftaya görüşeceğiz. Geçen gidişim bir iş ziyaretiydi, İngiliz iş arkadaşım tarafından en iyi tasarım/dekorasyon mağazalarına götürülme ayrıcalığına sahip olduğum halde zamansızlık ve etraftaki herşeyin dayanılmaz cazibesinin yarattığı şok yüzünden gördüklerimi doğru düzgün belgeleyememiştim. Üstelik pound'u da gerçek fiyatının bir hayli üstünde zannetme enayiliğim yüzünden elim cebime pek gidememişti. Umarım bu sefer daha farklı olur ve bol bol blog malzemesi ile dönebilirim. Şansıma Design*Sponge tasarımseverler için çok iyi bir Londra rehberi hazırlamış. Gidilecek genel turistik yerlerin ve bilindik mağazaların listesini yaptım, ama kıyıda köşede keşfettiğiniz güzel dükkanlar/ilginç yerler/ucuz güzel yemek yenecek yerler varsa gün doğmadan evvel paylaşınız lütfen :)
