The Pink Post

Pembeler

Like every little girl, I have always loved pink. But as a grown-up girl, I sometimes hesitate to use it as much as I'd like to in fear of looking like Paris Hilton or Barbie. I think it is one of the most difficult colors to use in interior design, but here are some examples that give me back my faith for pink.

Resim; All Things Bright and Beautiful (o da Cote de Texas'tan almış).

You can always count on fresh flowers for a beautiful touch of pink. There is not one single thing that I do not love in this picture. Especially the lovely patterned green board over the light pink wall, and the patterned console. Look at the colors: pink, old, green, black, white, beige. Picture via All Things Bright and Beautiful, and she got it from Cote de Texas.

Again a pink wall, this time the effect is cooled by the black in the frames and the lamp, and the cream color of the sofa and the pebbles. Ahh pebbles, you gotta love the beachhouse vibe they have got! Do I have to add that I adore this sofa? It is fabulously feminine.

A painting by Elliott Puckette and again fresh flowers. With all do respect to the artist, a knock-off of this lovely painting can be done at home for those who cannot afford the real deal. Picture via Habitually Chic.

Buradaki pembe, kaplan deseni-altın rengi sandalye-siyah parke üçlüsünün vamplığını yumuşatıyor, burayı karakter sahibi bir mekan haline getiriyor. Resim; House and Garden.

The pink softens the vamp look of the animal print curtains- gold chair-black floor combo, giving more character to the room. Image via House and Garden.

Pembe ile yeşilin pastel tonlardaki birleşimi. Battaniyeye özellikle bayıldım, keşke ellerim biraz örgü şişi tutsaydı! Mobilyalar ve resimler; Flamant.

A pastel combination of pink and green. I really lke this blanket/throw, I wish I had the skill to knit one for myself. Objects and images: Flamant.

Burası Firmdale oteller zincirine ait bir otel odası. Bu oteli Apryll Annie'nin blog'unda gördüm. Kanepedeki renklere bakın: fuşya, açık pembe, yeşil, ve iri fuşya desenli yastıklar. Cesur ve güzel. Çiçekleri de unutmamak gerek. Adeta kanepedeki renkleri birbirine bağlıyor bu çiçekler. Resim, Firmdale Hotels.
This is actually a hotel room, a hotel which I came across via Apryll Annie's blog. Check out the colors of the sofa: fuchsia, light pink, green, and large fuchsia printed cushions. Bold and beautiful. Don't forget the flowers, they seem to tie the colors of the sofa together. Image and room: Firmdale Hotels.

Fuşya ve beyaz. Yastıklar Petit Beurre bisküvilere benzemiyor mu? Resim; Firmdale Hotels.

The calming effect of fuchsia and white. Don't the pillows look like Petit Beurre biscuits? Image and room: Firmdale Hotels.

Biraz daha fuşya ve yeşil. Bu kombinasyona gitgide daha fazla ısınmaya başlıyorum. Resim; Firmdale Hotels.
More fuchsia and green. I'm warming up to this combination more by the minute. Room and image: Firmdale Hotels.

Beklenmedik renkler: turkuaz, gri-mavi, fuşya. Böyle akla gelmeyecek renkleri birbirine uydurabilen insanlara hayranlık duyuyorum! Resim; Firmdale Hotels.

Unexpected use of colors: turquise, gray blue, fuchsia. I admire people who take such strong colors together and make it happen! Room and image: Firmdale Hotels.

Again pastel pink and green. This time more classical with the use of velvet.

Even though this is an outdoor picture, I thought the harmony of black iron and the pink flowers at the background were worth showing, and could translate easily to indoors. Imagine black iron chairs, fresh flowers on the table, and a huge silver framed mirror on the background. And look, the cups are pink and green! Photo: Petrina Tinsley.

Again, I love every single thing you posted! I always put pink in my bedroom (curtains, pillows, throws) when the weather starts to get colder (in the summer, it's always light blue). Love it! Keep the awesome posts coming!
